From a 60-bed capacity, we have expanded to 128 beds, and we now operate the largest dialysis center in the region with 60 dialysis machines. Our hospital also features a dedicated nuclear medicine unit, advanced MRI technology, and equipment for cancer treatment. With comprehensive medical services under one roof, we provide fast, accurate, and efficient care to meet all your healthcare needs.
OUR HISTORY
Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital traces its roots back to December 2, 1974, when it was established as Urdaneta Doctors Hospital by a group of dedicated physicians led by Dr. Felipe T. Tablada, who served as its first Medical Director. Strategically located along San Vicente, MacArthur Highway, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, the hospital was founded with a vision to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to the people of Eastern Pangasinan.
The hospital initially operated with a 60-bed capacity. In its early years, however, low patient admissions brought financial challenges that threatened its closure. Recognizing the urgent need for a private healthcare institution in the region, then Mayor Hon. Amadeo R. Perez extended his support to ensure the hospital’s survival and continued service for the benefit of the Pangasinense community.
In 1979, a formal Board of Trustees was organized with Hon. Amadeo R. Perez as President and Dr. Felipe T. Tablada as Medical Director. During this period, the hospital was renamed Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital, reflecting its renewed commitment to compassionate and service-driven healthcare.
Despite ongoing operational challenges, the leadership remained steadfast in strengthening the institution. In 2003, the hospital underwent a management reorganization to address the growing demands of modern healthcare in the Philippines.
During the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Mr. Cristino L. Naguiat Jr. reassumed leadership to guide the hospital through one of the most critical periods in healthcare history.Today, Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital continues to uphold its founding vision delivering quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare. With decades of dedicated service, the hospital remains committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and the well-being of the communities it serves.
