Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital is a 128-bed multispecialty hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, diagnostic, and specialty services. Our specialized facilities include the Eye Center, Heart & Brain Department, 60-machine Hemodialysis Unit, Nuclear Medicine Unit, Radiology Department, Pulmonary Department, Rehabilitation Medicine, Chemotherapy Unit, Wound Care & Vascular Unit, Operating Room and Endoscopy, Laboratory and Histopathology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dental Services, and Kidney & Prostate Services, supported by 24/7 Emergency Care, ICU, and NICU.
These services are strengthened by continued investment in advanced MRI, diagnostic imaging, laboratory systems, and specialized medical equipment, allowing USHH to deliver a broad range of diagnosis, treatment, and specialty care within one hospital.
OUR HISTORY
Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital traces its roots to December 2, 1974, when it was established as Urdaneta Doctors Hospital by a group of physicians led by Dr. Felipe T. Tablada, its first Medical Director. The 60-bed hospital was founded to provide accessible, quality healthcare to Urdaneta and surrounding communities.
In its early years, low patient admissions created financial challenges that threatened its continued operation. Recognizing the urgent need for a private healthcare institution in the region, then Mayor Hon. Amadeo R. Perez extended his support to ensure the hospital’s survival and continued service for the benefit of the community.
In 1979, a formal Board of Trustees was organized with Hon. Amadeo R. Perez as President and Dr. Felipe T. Tablada as Medical Director. The hospital was subsequently renamed Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital, marking a renewed commitment to compassionate and service-oriented healthcare.
Over the decades, USHH continued to grow and adapt to the changing needs of healthcare. Today, it builds on more than five decades of service with a continuing focus on advanced diagnostics, expert specialist care, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care.
